NALCO Recruitment 2025: Apply for 07 Specialist Doctor Posts (E02 & E03 Grade)

National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna Central PSU and one of Asia’s largest integrated Alumina-Aluminium complexes, has announced a recruitment drive for committed, empathetic, and compassionate Medical Professionals. The recruitment advertisement (No. 10250201), released on May 07, 2025, invites applications for Specialist positions in E02 and E03 grades across disciplines like Orthopedic, Pediatric, Ophthalmology, and Radiology. With its headquarters in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, NALCO is a premier foreign exchange earner and a professionally managed organization focused on growth in Mining, Metals, and Energy sectors. Below are the details of vacancies, eligibility, selection process, and application procedure.


NALCO is recruiting for a total of 07 Specialist posts in E02 and E03 grades, with specific disciplines and category-wise reservations. The details are as follows:

Note: The number of posts is tentative and may vary based on organizational requirements. One post is horizontally reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) as per government guidelines.

The pay scale and upper age limit for the posts as of June 13, 2025, are as follows:

Note: Internal candidates in the immediate lower scale of pay have no upper age limit, subject to company rules. Maximum age, including all relaxations, shall not exceed 56 years.

NALCO offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Basic Pay and Dearness Allowance (Industrial DA pattern).

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as of June 13, 2025:

  • Qualification:
    • E02 Grade: MD/MS or recognized post-MBBS Diploma in Orthopedic, Pediatric, Ophthalmology, or Radiology.
    • E03 Grade: MD/MS or recognized post-MBBS Diploma in Pediatric, Ophthalmology, or Radiology, with 3 years of post-qualification experience as a Specialist Doctor in Govt./PSU or reputed/leading hospital/organization.
  • Experience:
    • E02 Grade: No experience required.
    • E03 Grade: Three completed years of post MD/MS/Diploma experience. For self-practice, candidates must upload legitimate medical registration and clinic/nursing home registration for the specified period.
  • Age: Maximum 35 years for E02 and 38 years for E03, with relaxations of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC(NCL), 10 years for PwBD-UR, 13 years for PwBD-OBC(NCL), and 15 years for PwBD-SC/ST. Ex-Servicemen and 1984 riot-affected candidates get relaxations as per government directives.
  • Other Requirements: Qualifications must be from UGC-recognized universities, AICTE-approved institutions, or statutory councils. CGPA/OGPA must be converted to percentage as per university norms, with documentary proof.

The selection process includes:

  • Shortlisting: Based on information/declarations in the online application. False declarations during document verification will disqualify candidates from the interview, with no TA reimbursement.
  • Personal Interview: Assessment will be based solely on interview performance, organizational requirements, and available vacancies.
  • Medical Fitness: Final appointment is subject to passing NALCO’s Medical Examination as per company rules, with the Medical Board’s decision being final.
  • Note: Meeting advertised specifications does not guarantee an interview call. Management may raise eligibility standards to limit candidates.

Reservations and relaxations are as per government guidelines:

  • Category Reservations: Posts are reserved for SC, OBC(NCL), and PwBD candidates. If no vacancy is reserved for a category, candidates will be considered under unreserved merit standards.
  • Experience Relaxation: SC candidates get a one-year relaxation in total experience, subject to post availability.
  • PwBD Candidates: Must provide a valid disability certificate (40% or above disability) from a government hospital or Special Employment Exchange medical board. Appointment considers the nature of duties and candidate health.
  • OBC(NCL): Candidates must submit a valid certificate in the prescribed format, issued in the current year, with the caste listed in the Central OBC list. Creamy Layer candidates are treated as UR.
  • Certificate Requirements: SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD certificates must be in the prescribed Government of India format, issued by a Competent Authority. Non-English/Hindi certificates require a self-attested translated copy.

Candidates must follow these steps to apply:

  • Apply online through the career section of NALCO’s website (www.nalcoindia.com) between May 14, 2025 (10:00 AM) and June 13, 2025 (06:00 PM).
  • Upload a recent passport-size color photograph, signature, qualification proofs, experience documents, recent salary slip, Form 16/annual IT return, and existing employer details.
  • Ensure all documents are correct, valid, and legible, as incomplete submissions will lead to rejection.
  • Keep hard copies of the submitted application and documents for reference. No hard copies need to be sent by post.
  • Note: Only Indian Nationals are eligible. Applications via other modes will be rejected. Candidates can apply for only one post; multiple applications will lead to cancellation.

Important: No changes to application data are allowed post-submission. Incorrect or false information will result in candidature cancellation. Candidates in PSUs/Government must apply through proper channels or provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the interview, or they can join only after a formal release order from their current employer.

There is no application fee for this recruitment.

Candidates should note the following:

  • Provide a valid email ID in the application, as all communication will be via email. NALCO is not responsible for non-delivery due to invalid/wrong email IDs.
  • Bring original certificates, mark sheets, and relevant documents to the interview, if called.
  • Travel Allowance (TA) for interviews (IInd class AC Sleeper train/bus fare) will be reimbursed for the shortest route from the communication address, provided tickets/proof are submitted. No address changes are allowed for TA purposes.
  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify candidates.
  • Disputes will be settled under the jurisdiction of Cuttack only.
