Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria as of January 01, 2024:
- Service: Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE).
- Experience: Officers working in Central/Railways/State Government Ministries/Departments/Public Sector Undertakings in Functional Senior Administrative Grade (Pay Level 14 or equivalent) with at least 20 years of experience in Group "A," out of which 15 years must be in field/projects. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in construction projects.
- Age: Not above 50 years.
- Medical Standard: Candidates should be mentally sound and physically fit.
- Other Criteria: Candidates must be free from SPE/DA/Vigilance cases and never have appeared in Secret/Agreed lists.
The selected candidate will receive:
- Pay: Parent pay plus deputation allowance.
- Perks: Additional benefits as admissible under KMRCL’s HR rules.
The appointment will be on a deputation basis with the following terms:
- Tenure: Maximum of five years.
- Scale of Pay: Parent pay plus deputation allowance as per rules.

- Attach APAR gradings for the last five years.
- Send the application in a sealed envelope superscribed with “Application for appointment to the post of General Manager (Civil) on deputation” to the Joint Secretary (Deputation)/Railway Board through proper channel for approval by the Competent Authority in the Ministry of Railways.
