The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), South Zone, Chennai, invites applications from retired technical employees of Indian Railways for the position of Consultant/Engineering. This temporary engagement, based in Chennai, is for a period of one year and offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to IRCTC's projects.

Candidates must be retired technical employees of Indian Railways, having served in Level 6 to 10 (7th CPC) with a minimum of 3 years in Level-6. They should possess a Degree/Diploma in Civil or Architectural Engineering and have extensive experience in:
- Technical evaluation of General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) plans
- Coordination with Railways for project approvals
- Civil works, project planning, preparation of drawings, and layout plans
- Tendering, structural evaluation, and land leasing/usage
- Proficiency in MS Office/Excel
The remuneration will be a fixed monthly amount, calculated by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement. This amount remains unchanged during the contract term. Additional benefits include:
- Conveyance allowance, uniform allowance, and mobile charges as per IRCTC policy
- TA/DA and lodging charges for official tours
- 1.5 days of leave per completed month, non-accumulative to the next year
