Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, has announced a recruitment drive for 150 Maintainer posts in its Operation & Maintenance Wing. This opportunity is exclusively for ex-military personnel and offers a contract-based appointment for 5 years, extendable based on performance and requirements.

Candidates must have completed Matriculation plus two years ITI in one of the following technical trades: Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanics, Wireman, Fitter, Mechanic Computer Hardware, Mechanic - Industrial Electronics, Information Technology & Electronics System Maintenance, Mechanic Communication Equipment Maintenance, Mechanic Mechatronics, or equivalent qualifications certified by the defense services (NCVT/NCTVT/NAC). The maximum age limit is 50 years as of 23-04-2025.
Selected candidates will be placed in the IDA Pay Scale of Rs. 25,000 - 59,060 with a 3% annual increment. Additional allowances will be provided as per BMRCL Operation & Maintenance Wing rules.

Candidates must apply online through the BMRCL website (www.bmrc.co.in) by 22-05-2025. After submitting the online application, a signed printout of the application form, along with self-attested copies of educational certificates, discharge certificate, and proof of date of birth, must be sent to the following address by 27-05-2025, 4:00 PM:

The envelope should be superscribed as "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MAINTAINER". Serving military personnel retiring by 31-05-2025 are also eligible to apply.
The selection will be based on a written examination, followed by an interview, medical fitness test, and document verification. The written test, scheduled for June 2025, will cover:
- General Knowledge (30 marks)
- Reasoning and Analytics (30 marks)
- Technical Proficiency (40 marks)
The exam will consist of approximately 100 questions, with a duration of 120 minutes and negative marking of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates must download their hall tickets from the BMRCL website and carry an identity card issued by the Sainik Board to the exam.
Shortlisted candidates must pass a medical fitness test, including vision checkup, ENT checkup, fasting blood sugar, serum creatine, urine analysis, chest X-ray, and ECG, to ensure they are fit for the role.
