Roles and Responsibilities

  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or specified East African countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Candidates from categories other than Indian citizens must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Guidelines for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities

Candidates with benchmark disabilities (not less than 40% of a specified disability) are eligible for reservation as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. They must submit a disability certificate issued by a competent authority. Candidates requiring a scribe must arrange their own scribe at their own cost, adhering to government guidelines. Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour is provided for candidates registered for scribe use.
