Pay Scale: Level 9 of Tripura State Pay Matrix 2018 (₹5,700 - ₹24,000, Grade Pay ₹2,800, pre-revised), subject to revision by the Government.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- Educational Qualification: Minimum 3-year Diploma in Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering, or BCA from a UGC-recognized University or AICTE-approved Institution.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in handling treasury software, software development, or software testing in a Government Institution, Government Undertaking, or Company registered under the Company Registration Act.
- Residency: Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) required.
- Age Limit: Up to 40 years as on 13 May 2025; relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwDs candidates and Government servants. SC/ST/PwDs Government servants are not eligible for additional relaxation beyond the 5 years.
Desirable Qualification:
- Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok.
Application Process
Last Date for Application Submission: 13 May 2025 (up to 5:30 PM).
Application Mode: Online only through the TPSC Online Application Portal (tpsc.tripura.gov.in), available from 17 April 2025 to 13 May 2025.
Application Requirements:
- Registration: Candidates must register via One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the TPSC website to generate a User ID, sent to their registered mobile number and email ID.
- Application Submission: Apply using the OTPR User ID. Avoid multiple registrations; if unavoidable, ensure the application with the latest Application Number is complete.
- Documents: No certificates/documents need to be uploaded during application. After the written examination results, shortlisted candidates must submit self-attested copies of:
- Age proof (Birth Certificate or Madhyamik Admit Card).
- Educational qualifications (Madhyamik onwards, mark sheets, and certificates).
- Experience certificate (specifying designation, work type, joining/end dates).
- PRTC.
- SC/ST/PwDs/Ex-Servicemen certificate (if applicable).

- In-service candidates must submit a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) at the interview, confirming employer approval, or their candidature will be rejected.

Selection Process
The selection process comprises:
- Written Examination (90 Marks):
- MCQ-based, 90 questions, 1 mark each, 2 hours duration.
- Subjects: Computer Science and Information Technology (see syllabus below).
- Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unanswered questions.
- Qualifying Marks:
- UR: 35 marks.
- SC/ST (including Differently Abled/Ex-Servicemen): 30 marks.
- UR (Differently Abled/Ex-Servicemen): 30 marks.
- Interview/Personality Test (10 Marks):
- Candidates are called based on written exam performance in the following ratio:
- 1 vacancy: 5 candidates.
- 2 vacancies: 8 candidates.
- 3+ vacancies: 3 times the number of vacancies.
- Candidates tying with the last qualified candidate in the written exam will also be called.
- Parameters assessed: Knowledge in the field, analytical power, professional attitude, communication skills, general knowledge, current affairs, emotional attitude, ethics, and desirable qualifications.
- Final Selection: Based on aggregate marks (written exam + interview). Candidates absent in the interview will not be considered.
- Merit List: Prepared category-wise. Ties are resolved by:
- Age seniority (older candidates ranked higher).
- Percentage of marks in the minimum educational qualification (if marks and age are equal).

- Computer Fundamentals & IT: Computer system concepts, architecture, data representation (binary, octal), digital logic, Boolean algebra, software types, networking basics, network types/devices, internet, e-governance.
- Data Structure: Array, stack, queue, linked list, recursion, sorting methods, tree, graphs, indexing, file organization.
- Programming Language: Computer programming concepts, C language.
- Object-Oriented Programming: OOP concepts, C++, Core Java.
- Data Communication & Computer Network: Networking basics, data communication fundamentals, network types/components, switching, architecture, layers, protocols, security.
- Database Management System (DBMS): Database concepts, RDBMS, Oracle, SQL, operators, query expressions, functions, joins, views, PL/SQL, cursors, procedures, packages, triggers.
- Software Engineering & System Analysis: System concepts, SDLC, software development approaches, information gathering, requirement/feasibility analysis, process specifications, I/O design, process lifecycle, project planning/management, design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance.

General Conditions
Key Points:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
