Campaign Implementation
From Lab to Land
The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan will run annually before the Kharif and Rabi sowing seasons, starting from May 29 to June 12, 2025. It involves 2,170 expert teams comprising 16,000 agricultural scientists from ICAR’s 113 research institutes, agricultural universities, and 731 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). These teams will visit 65,000 villages across 723 districts, engaging over 1.3 crore farmers in daily sessions to provide tailored farming advice.
Farmer-Centric Approach
Two-Way Interaction
The campaign fosters two-way interaction, allowing farmers to share challenges like pest infestations and receive solutions based on Soil Health Cards. Experts will recommend high-yield seed varieties, sowing techniques, and balanced fertilizer use to enhance productivity and soil health. This initiative bridges the gap between scientific research and field-level needs, ensuring practical outcomes.
Collaborative Ecosystem
Uniting Stakeholders
The campaign unites ICAR, agricultural universities, state governments, innovative farmers, and FPOs to drive agricultural transformation. By aligning research with real-time farming challenges, it supports sustainable farming and positions India as a global leader in agriculture.
