Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Toxicology, Serology, DNA, Cyber Forensic, Biology, Photography, Documents, Firearms) from a recognized institution. The qualification must be obtained by June 2, 2025, which is the reference date for eligibility.

Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age:
    • Unreserved/EWS: 35 years
    • EBC-I/BC-II (Male): 37 years
    • Women (Unreserved/EBC-I/BC-II): 38 years
    • SC/ST (Male & Female): 40 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Additional 5 years relaxation

Pay Scale

Salary Details

The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band II with a salary range of ₹9,300 - ₹34,800 and a Grade Pay of ₹4,200.

Application Process

How to Apply

Candidates must apply online through the JSSC website (www.jssc.jharkhand.gov.in) from May 2, 2025, to June 2, 2025. Follow these steps:

  • Visit the JSSC website and click on Online Application for JSACE-2025.
  • Complete the registration process to receive a registration number and password.
  • Log in to fill out the application form and upload a scanned photo and signature.
  • Pay the examination fee by June 4, 2025.
  • Submit the application and take a printout by June 6, 2025.
  • Corrections to the application can be made from June 8 to June 10, 2025.

Examination Fee

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100
  • SC/ST (Jharkhand Residents): ₹50
  • The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.

Selection Process

Examination Pattern

The selection will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of two papers:

  • Paper 1: Computer Knowledge and Operation
    • 50 multiple-choice questions
    • Duration: 1 hour
    • Minimum qualifying marks: 30%
  • Paper 2: Specific Subject
    • 100 multiple-choice questions
    • Duration: 2 hours
    • Scoring: 4 marks for correct answers, -1 for incorrect answers

merit list will be prepared based on Paper 2 scores, with minimum qualifying marks:

  • Unreserved/EWS: 40%
  • SC/ST/Women: 32%
  • EBC-I: 34%
  • BC-II: 36.5%
  • Primitive Tribes: 30%
