Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Candidates should be between 22 and 40 years of age.
Educational Qualification: A graduate degree in BSW, BA, or B.Com with computer knowledge. Knowledge of basic accounting is preferred.
Language Proficiency: Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written Tamil (local language). Fluency in Hindi or English is an added advantage.
Skills: Essential typing skills in Tamil; typing skills in English are an added advantage. Proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet usage is required.
Selection Process
Stages: The selection process includes:
- Written Test: To assess general knowledge and computer capability.
- Personal Interview: To evaluate communication skills, leadership qualities, attitude, problem-solving ability, and suitability for working with trainees.
The Trust will assess candidates’ competencies, attitudes, and behavior beyond minimum eligibility criteria.

Job Responsibilities
Office Assistant Duties:
- Assist the Director and Faculty in the functioning of RSETI.
- Maintain cash book, general ledger, and vouchers (single-entry bookkeeping).
- Update training data, follow-up, and settlement records, including MIS data.
- Prepare and submit monthly and periodical reports to the Trust and Ministry.
- Organize logistics for training, including boarding and dormitory arrangements.
- Arrange training materials and manage candidate registration and attendance.
- Conduct follow-up visits as directed and maintain inventory of assets and training materials.
- Manage library books and issue them to trainees.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Director and Faculty.
Emoluments and Benefits

Leave Entitlements:
- Casual Leave: 12 days/year
- Privilege Leave: 10 days/year
- Sick Leave: 10 days/year
- Maternity Leave: As per The Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017
- Paternity Leave: 15 days per child
Contract Terms
Duration: The contract is for 3 years, subject to annual review and renewal by the Trust.
Joining Formalities: Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness report from a district-level Medical Officer and join within 15 days of receiving the offer letter.
Termination: Either party can terminate the contract with one month’s notice or equivalent salary. The Trust may terminate without notice for major misconduct.
Career Progression: Office Assistants with two consecutive 3-year contract renewals may be designated as Senior Office Assistant for the next 3-year term, with continued salary and increments.
Retirement Age: 60 years or the project period, whichever is earlier, subject to performance and contract renewal.
Code of Conduct
Misconduct: Minor misconduct (e.g., absence without notice) is addressed through informal discussions or documented warnings. Major misconduct (e.g., theft, fraud, corruption) may lead to immediate suspension or dismissal after enquiry.
Disciplinary Action: For major misconduct, a show-cause notice is issued, with 7 days to respond. The Regional Manager may impose punishment or appoint an Enquiry Authority, whose report guides the final decision.
