Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Computer Application (BCA) from a recognized university, OR B.Sc. from a recognized university with a 1-year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/Application or equivalent from a recognized institution
- 2 years of working experience in a reputed institution/organization in the related field (post-qualification)
- Valid Employment Exchange Registration Number for the State of Assam
- Training in:
- Data entry and DTP works
- Hardware maintenance (computers, printers, scanners, etc.)
- Server and Network Administration (including leased lines, LAN setup)
- Using utility and application software
- Web designing and web-based application software
Age Limit (as on May 28, 2025):
- General (UR): 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: 43 years (non-creamy layer certificate required at document verification)
- SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 45 years
- PwBD (HH, OL, BL, DW, LC, AAV categories): 50 years
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Stage 1: Written Examination (120 marks, 2 hours, OMR-based, objective MCQs)
- 100 questions (1 mark each): General English & Knowledge (20 marks), Technical Knowledge (70 marks), General Aptitude (10 marks)
- 20 questions on Assamese language (1 mark each, qualifying, 40% required, not counted in merit)
- Stage 2: Skill Test (50 marks)
- Top candidates (1:5 ratio) from the written exam (excluding Assamese segment) qualify
- Minimum 60% (30 marks) required to pass
- Stage 3: Viva-Voce (20 marks)
- Top candidates (1:3 ratio) from written exam and skill test combined qualify
- Minimum 60% (12 marks) required to pass
Final Selection: Based on the grand total of Written Exam (excluding Assamese segment), Skill Test, and Viva-Voce marks. Tiebreakers favor higher Written Exam + Skill Test marks, then seniority in age.

- Phase 1: Register with Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, Mobile No., and Email ID to receive a Registration Code
- Phase 2: Update Profile with gender, category, address, qualifications, experience, etc.
- Phase 3: Upload a passport photo (80% face, 5-30 KB, .jpg/.png/.gif) and signature (70% space, 5-30 KB), then click “Submit Candidature” after verifying all details
- Phase 4: Pay Fee at any State Bank of India branch using the Fee Payment Challan (generated post-submission) by May 31, 2025. Retain the Journal Number and print the Acknowledgement Receipt
