Delhi Zoo Launches Summer Programme 2025 Under Mission LiFE to Promote Plastic-Free Living and Biodiversity Awareness

On May 22, 2025, the National Zoological Park (NZP), New Delhi, in collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH) and WWF-India, launched a two-week Summer Vacation Programme. Running from May 22 to June 4, 2025, at the NZP Education Centre and WWF’s community centre, this initiative is part of the Mass Awareness Campaign under Mission LiFE, aligning with the World Environment Day 2025 theme of “Ending Global Plastic Pollution”.

The programme engages 240 students from junior and senior classes across Delhi NCR in interactive activities designed to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. These activities include:

  • Painting and mask making
  • Storytelling and clay modeling
  • Waste segregation workshop
  • Quiz competition on environmental themes

These activities aim to inspire students to become champions of biodiversity and advocates for sustainable practices.
