Educational Qualification
- Essential: Full-time Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Minimum Marks:
- UR/EWS: 50% marks.
- SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD (against reserved posts): 45% marks.
- Note: Degrees must be recognized by AICTE or from universities established by an Act of Parliament/State Legislature or deemed universities under the UGC Act, 1956.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
Age Relaxation
- OBC (NCL)/SC/ST: As per government norms against reserved posts.
- PwD: 10 years relaxation for candidates with at least 40% relevant disability.
- RITES Employees: 5 years relaxation over the upper age limit.

The selection process includes:
- Written Test:
- 125 objective-type questions, 1 mark each, 2.5 hours duration.
- No negative marking.
- PwBD candidates eligible for 50 minutes compensatory time.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS, 45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD (reserved posts).
- Weightage: 100% for selection.
- Document Scrutiny:
- Verification of documents for candidates qualifying the written test.
- Original documents checked at the time of joining.
- Medical Examination: Selected candidates must be medically fit as per RITES standards.
