The Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behaviour (IPHB), Bambolim, Goa, under the Government of Goa, has announced a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Nursing positions on a contract basis. These positions are for a period of one year or until the posts are filled on a regular basis, whichever is earlier. Below are the details of the vacancies and interview process.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Psychiatrist
Essential Qualifications:
- A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications in Part II of the Third Schedule must fulfill conditions under sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Act.
- Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Psychiatry recognized by the Medical Council of India or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in the concerned specialty as a Junior Resident.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
2. Assistant Professor in Psychiatric Nursing
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Nursing recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).
- Five years of teaching experience in Nursing after post-graduation.
- Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable:
- Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing.
- Knowledge of Marathi.
Age Limit
Age Range: Above 18 years and not exceeding 45 years.
Application Process
Candidates must attend the walk-in interview at the office of the Director, IPHB, Opposite Shrine of Holy Cross, Bambolim, Goa. The registration time for both posts is from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the respective interview dates. Candidates reporting after the registration time will not be allowed to attend the interview.
Requirements:
- Submit an application with a recent passport-size photograph.
- Include bio-data and attested copies of certificates proving qualifications, age, testimonials, and other essential certificates issued by competent authorities.
Note:
- Selected candidates will be on a contract basis and will not be treated as regular employees of the Government of Goa. They will have no right to absorption as regular employees.
- The appointment can be terminated with one month’s notice as per rules.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
