On 21st May, 2025, India assumed the Chairmanship of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) for the 2025–26 term during the 67th Governing Body Meeting (GBM) held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 20th–22nd May, 2025. The Indian delegation, led by Shri Amardeep Singh Bhatia, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and APO Director for India, emphasized India’s commitment to driving regional collaboration and productivity enhancement.
