India’s rich tradition of holistic health and wellness is making waves at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, captivating global audiences with its time-tested practices. The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with key organizations, is showcasing India’s integrative approach to health through the vibrant India Pavilion - Bharat. This platform highlights the power of Ayush systems and Yoga, drawing thousands of participants and reinforcing India’s commitment to global wellbeing.

Yoga: A Global Attraction at India Pavilion

Daily Yoga Sessions Draw Crowds

Since the launch of the World Expo on 2nd May 2025, the India Pavilion has hosted daily yoga sessions, organized by the Ministry of Ayush in partnership with the India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO)Embassy of India in TokyoConsulate General of India in Osaka-Kobe, and the Heartfulness Institute. These sessions, running until 13th October 2025, have already seen over 2,100 participants across 55 sessions, including Japanese nationals and international visitors. The inaugural session on 2nd May 2025, coinciding with Japan’s Golden Week, was graced by H.E. Shri Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, and Shri Chandru Appar, Consul General of India in Osaka-Kobe, attracting significant attention.

Celebrating Wellness on a Global Stage

The Yoga Week, scheduled from 15th to 21st June 2025, will amplify India’s outreach with multiple daily sessions, including morning, evening, and Y-break formats. The highlight will be a grand celebration of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on 21st June 2025, aimed at engaging diverse audiences and promoting the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. These initiatives underscore India’s leadership in fostering holistic wellness worldwide.

Traditional Medicine and Global Collaborations

From 29th June to 5th July 2025, the India Pavilion will focus on traditional medicinal plantsherbs, and Ayush-based health products. A B2B meet and roadshow on 30th June 2025 will facilitate global collaborations and investment opportunities in Ayush-based healthcare, showcasing India’s expertise in sustainable and natural health solutions.
