APMSRB Recruitment 2025: Assistant Professor 128 Posts

The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has released Notification No. 03/2025 for the recruitment of 128 Assistant Professor posts in Super Specialties across 11 Government Medical Colleges under the Directorate of Medical Education (DME). The recruitment is open for both Direct Recruitment and Lateral Entry through a walk-in process scheduled for 16.05.2025. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in the concerned Super Specialty from institutions recognized by MCI/NMC.
  • Age Limit (as on 07.05.2025):
    • OC: Not completed 42 years
    • EWS/SC/ST/BC: Not completed 47 years
    • Differently Abled: Not completed 52 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: Not completed 50 years
  • Local Candidature: Only candidates local to Andhra Pradesh (studied from 4th to 10th class in A.P. or migrated from Telangana within 3 years from 02.06.2014) are eligible. Study certificates or specific residence certificates are required.
  • Lateral Entry (LE): Eligible candidates include Assistant Professors in broad specialties under DME, Civil Assistant Surgeons under DPHFW or APVVP, who are approved probationers with no pending disciplinary charges.

Selection Process

The selection process varies for Direct Recruitment (DR) and Lateral Entry (LE):

  • Direct Recruitment:
    • Total Marks: 100
    • 75 marks based on PG/Super Specialty marks (or grade-based percentage).
    • 10 marks for years since passing qualifying exam (1 mark per year, up to 10).
    • 5 marks for PG/Super Specialty from Central Institutions.
    • Up to 15 marks for contract service in Government institutions (2.5 marks per 6 months in Tribal areas, 2 marks in Rural, 1 mark in Urban).
    • Up to 15 marks for COVID-19 contract service, with required certificates.
    • Merit list based on total marks, followed by Rule of Reservation.
  • Lateral Entry:
    • Merit list based on rank at the time of recruitment as CAS/Assistant Professor.
    • Selection follows Rule of Reservation for promotions.

Application Process

Candidates must attend the walk-in recruitment on 16.05.2025 at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Old GGH Campus, Hanuman Peta, Vijayawada, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit dme.ap.nic.in or apmsrb.ap.gov.in to download the application form.
  2. Submit the application in person with original and one set of Xerox copies of required documents, including:
    • SSC certificate
    • Study certificates (4th to 10th class)
    • PG/Super Specialty degree and marks memos
    • AP Medical Council Registration
    • NOC (for in-service candidates)
    • Contract service certificates (if applicable)
    • Caste/EWS/Disability/Ex-Serviceman certificates (if applicable)
  3. Pay the application fee via UPI:
    • OC: INR 1,000
    • BC/SC/ST/EWS/Differently Abled: INR 750

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive:

  • Salary: INR 68,900 - 2,05,500 (7th UGC Pay Scale)
  • Super Specialty Allowance: INR 30,000

Important Notes

  • Ensure all certificates are submitted; incomplete applications will be rejected.
  • Contract weightage requires a signed certificate from competent authorities (DMHO/DCHS/Medical Superintendent).
  • Candidates must not have availed contract weightage in prior state government recruitments.
