Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree (3 years) in Science (B.Sc) with Physics and Mathematics, OR
- Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any discipline (Physics and Mathematics must be subjects in at least one semester).
- Minimum proficiency in spoken and written English at the 10+2 standard (English as a subject in 10th or 12th standard).
- Note: Degrees must be from a recognized/deemed university or apex institution (e.g., IIT/IIMs/XLRI/TISS). Candidates with B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) are eligible. Departmental candidates with recognized degrees via part-time/correspondence/distance education are also eligible.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 27 years as of 24.05.2025.
- Relaxations:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
- 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- 10 years for PwBD candidates (where post is suitable).
- 5 years for ex-servicemen with at least 5 years of military service.
- 10 years for AAI regular employees who have completed probation.
Salary Details
Remuneration
- Pay Scale: Rs. 40,000 - 3% - 1,40,000 (E-1 level).
- Emoluments: Includes Dearness Allowance, Perks (35% of Basic Pay), HRA, CPF, Gratuity, Social Security Schemes, Medical Benefits, etc.
- Approximate CTC: Rs. 13 lakhs per annum.
- Note: Pay protection is provided for candidates from other CPSEs/State PSUs/Government Departments as per DPE guidelines.

- General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1,000/- (inclusive of GST).
- Exempted Categories: SC/ST/PwBD candidates, AAI apprentices with one year of training, and female candidates.
- Payment Mode: Online only (Internet Banking/Debit/Credit Card via SBI e-Pay Lite).
Selection Process
Stages of Selection
- Computer Based Test (CBT): No negative marking. Syllabus available on AAI website.
- Shortlisting: Based on CBT performance for further stages.
- Application Verification: Verification of original documents and identity.
- Additional Tests: Voice Test, Psychoactive Substances Test, Psychological Assessment, Physical Medical Examination, Background Verification.
- Psychoactive Substances Tested: Amphetamine, Opiates, Cannabis, Cocaine, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepine. Non-negative results lead to disqualification.
- Final Selection: Based on CBT merit, subject to clearing all tests and meeting eligibility criteria.
- Training: Selected candidates undergo training with basic pay and allowances. A surety bond of Rs. 7 lakhs is required to serve AAI for 3 years post-training.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates must attain ICAO language proficiency level 4 (Operational) during training, failing which services may be terminated.

How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online through the AAI website (www.aai.aero) under the "CAREERS" tab from 25th April 2025 to 24th May 2025. No other modes are accepted.
Steps:
- Ensure eligibility and keep required documents ready (educational certificates, caste/EWS/PwBD certificate, experience/discharge certificate, etc.).
- Upload a recent passport-size photograph (not older than 3 months) and signature in .jpg/.jpeg format as per specifications.
- Provide a valid email ID and mobile number, which must remain active throughout the recruitment process.

- Take a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
